This class is a great introduction  for those who have recently bought or are thinking about buying a sewing machine for themselves or their child! Of Course dad's are welcome too!
It is really important as a parent to have some knowledge of the machine to be able to assist your child when stuck and also so you can get the most enjoyment out of using the machine yourself! It is also just as important to be confident that your child is able to use the machine properly!
During the workshop we will  work on sewing confidence, basic skills, threading and basic maintenance before completing a project so you go home beaming with pride!

You are welcome to bring your own machine but we do supply machines for all students.

This class is aimed at Parent and Child pair groups and is suitable for children age 7+
For individual learning please see our 'Sewing Machine Masterclass'' for adults or one of our 'teens sewing courses' for children.

My daughter has always shown an interest in using a sewing machine. I had bought one for us to use but was never really comfortable with setting it up. After a class with Rachel, that had all changed. Rachel was welcoming, highly knowledgeable and very good at teaching both adults and children. 
Not only did we understand our sewing machine but we even made a tote bag. 
After the class we headed straight to Kingston to buy some fabric to make some more. She’s started making gift bags for birthdays!

Teen Holiday Club - Worcester Park

Discover the joy of acrylic pouring and create this amazing beach scene, combined with Powertex. 

A hands on fun workshop- the results are unique every time!!

You will be taken through the process step by step and will leave with your very own beautiful piece of artwork! Powertex is a unique product for mixed media and will be used to create the 'beach' whilst the acrylic pour will create the 'sea'.
During this workshop you will learn;

Mixing paint for acrylic pours
Different  pouring techniques
Introduction to Powertex

All materials will be provided.
Please don't wear your best clothes! This can be a rather messy workshop!
The paint does take 24 hrs to dry- it is best to leave at the studio to collect at a later date. If you are travelling by car the piece can be taken on the day- we do not recommend trying to take home on publoc transport!

I cannot recommend these session enough! My daughter came home with an amazing completed project; they made bags.

Teen Holiday Club- Thames Ditton

Join us in this unusual workshop to create a stunning sculpture. Using plastic bottles to make the armature this is a fantastic way to get recycling! 
We will use a variety of products and techniques to create the unique textures . These sculptures will be weatherproof and suitable for outdoor use.
Powertex is a little known, but fantastic medium and in this 4 hr workshop we will use it with a range of products to create different effects. Suitable for any level of experience.

Fabric sculpting
Pigments
All materials will be provided. 

Please feel free to bring a packed lunch if the workshop is over lunchtime- we will not be officially stopping for a lunch break but light refreshments are provided in a relaxed environment!
