Embroidery is great to up-cycle and revamp once loved items of clothing. You can use embroidery to fix holes, cover over stains and bring a new life to tired looking clothes.
It’s an addictive craft and before you know it you’ll look at your wardrobe in a whole new light. They’re a bit like clothing tattoo’s….you’ll want a full arm sleeve in no time!

Learn how to embroider a garment of your choice. You will need to bring along a once loved garment and you can choose to add some flowers or bees in a colour way of your choice.

All materials included: Embroidery hoop, practice fabric, threads, needle, interfacing and pattern as well a help sheet for you to take home so you can re-create the design or one of your own on the rest of your wardrobe. 
Only thing not included is a garment to embroider on, so please bring something from home (or a few items if you can’t choose!) 

There will be the opportunity to purchase patterns and more embroidery floss at the end of the class, should you so wish.

Get to know your sewing machine at our 'Beginners Workshop'
A complete introduction to sewing on a machine. 
We will cover threading, overview of stitches, and basic maintenance. 
There will be lots of time for you to practice and build your confidence before we start our project to make a tote bag. 
Walk away with a reusable shopping bag and lots of inspiration to use your new skills!

All materials are included in this 3hr workshop, and small group sizes mean you get loads of personal tuition.

Our Sewing Machine Masterclass is run in group workshops, available on a variety of dates and times. If you cannot attend the upcoming available dates we have a 'Private' booking option. This is a little misleading! It used to be called a 'flexitime' option and in essence means that if you have a group of 2-7 people you can book a private session at a time to suit you. 

However if you have under 4 people attending we will open the class to outside bookings, to keep the same workshop price of £45, as we do need a minimum number attending. The workshop would be guaranteed to go ahead even if we did not get extra bookings.

If you would prefer a private session we do also have a 'Private Sewing Class' workshop available which is an individual private lesson and costs £60 for 2hrs.

Sewing Machine Masterclass

I attended an Begineer's class and how to use my sewing machine.It  was great expereince and got exactly what I wanted to learn from this class and feel more confident with my sewing machine.  The teacher was absoluately fantastic to say the least, extremely informative, patient, friendly and made you feel at ease.A lovely  bright and comfortable  venue.

Rachel was such a great teacher, she went through every detail step by step. so it never felt overwhelming. By the end of the session I was surprised at how confident I felt with a sewing machine and  my sewing skills were surprisingly not too bad. I highly recommend this course and will be signing up for more lessons at Craft My Day. 5 stars!

This course is suitable for beginners and for those with some experience in jewellery making.  If new to jewellery making this course will provide you with the knowledge and confidence which will help you expand on your skills in create stunning and quality pieces of jewellery.  Learning the simple art of wire wrapping can be applied to so many aspects in jewellery design and creates a more professional finish to your work.

Lesson content

- Design and make your very own one-of-a-kind wire wrapped bracelet 
- Learn about the different types of wire and headpins needed to create your piece of jewellery 
- How to use and manipulate headpins and wire using round nose pliers and a variety of beads to create wire wrapped loops
- Colour choices of gold and silver wire and headpins along with a huge selection of pearls, beads, and crystals 
- How to open and close jump rings and how to attach a clasp to finish your work 
- Get inspiration in developing your design ideas on the day from a selection of finished bracelet examples for you to look at

Mummy & me- Introduction to Sewing

Macrame is back!! If you are into interior design you only have to look at the high street to see all kinds of this gorgeous textile art and understand why it's having a renaissance.

Macrame is simply knots created with rope to create decorative and also functional pieces of art. It's an addictive craft that shows you instant results in a couple of hours and the best thing about it is that anyone can do it!

Learn how to make a beautiful Macramé Plant Hanger. We will teach you the basic Macramé knotting techniques and give you lots tips. You will take home a fully finished plant hanger! All materials included (but not a plant pot) as well as a help sheet for you to take home so you can re-create the pattern or one of your own designs. 

Please note the plant hangers in class will be made with cream, neutral coloured cord, so as to compliment any colour scheme in your home.

There will be the opportunity to purchase kits in different coloured cord at the end of the class, should you so wish.

Card making workshop which follows seasonal themes

Successful patchworking and quilting is part knowing what to do, and part practice.   
Come along as and when you have a question, need help, want some time out to actually get some patchworking done, or want to have a go at a new technique.     Each session will have a demonstration at the beginning and then you can practice that technique or seek help with your own project as needed.     The club will run once a month durning term time and is spread across different time slots to catch as many people as possible.    
Individual private quilt classes are also available. 
We welcome those who already have basic patchwork knowledge and have mastered some blocks but are having specific problems or want to progress and learn how to become more accurate, or some tips and tricks to get things done with less effort, but also love to see beginners who would love to have a go but don't know where to start.  Perhaps you've seen something you'd like to have a go at but are not sure what technique is used.  Come along!  We run small group classes with a maximum of 6 students so you can get the most out of our expert tuition, and a sewing machine to yourself.
Feel free to come along with your own work in progress if you have one  - your work and questions will be interesting to other fellow patch-workers too!  Or just come and find out about the technique covered on the day and give it a go.

Patchwork and Quilting Club 

Join our patchwork club and learn at your own pace, whether you are a beginner or more experienced, come along to have a go or improve your skills

Craft and laugh has been created to give people somewhere to go once a week to set time aside for their craft, or participate in charity recycled bag making sessions  and have some company, with other people similarly crafting.

It is designed to aid wellbeing in terms of taking a break from life, and interracting with others.  Both of which have become more difficult for many after a period where life has been quite tricky.

The sessions are run for all levels.  You are welcome to bring your own project to work on, or you can help make bags for the morsbags project (more can be found here www.morsbags.com)       It doesn't matter about your crafting skills and experience, craft & laugh is for everybody.  There are plenty of jobs to do, and you don't even need to be able to sew.

At the moment it is run as a drop in so no need to make a booking unless you want to.   Sessions are just £3 to cover basic costs and can be paid by cash or card on the day.

It's a relaxed session with no expectations.  If you come and chat and get very little done - that's OK too!

Come along and craft.  Bring your own project to work on or help us make bags from recycled fabric for the community.

Come along and make a pair of comfy PJ bottoms for yourself or for a loved one! This workshop is perfect for beginner's and those wanting an  introduction to  using commercial patterns, you will learn how to construct, finish seams professionally and hem. Lots of tips along the way in a fun and relaxed class.
You will need to buy and bring along fabric of your choice. 
Either 2.4m of 115cm wide, Or 2m of  140cm wide soft breathable fabric (cotton or brushed cotton)
If you want to make a larger size (16+) it is better to get a plain fabric or non-directional print design.
 All other materials are included, with tea/coffee and a biscuit or two!

Pyjama bottom's Workshop - great introduction to patterns!

The PJ ( bottoms only) workshop review. Very nice studio with lots of light. Good Janome machine with a variety of stitches. Pleasant teacher. Workshop was extremely basic. I felt that it should have been advertised as a very basic beginners class. For three hours I had expected a more detailed pattern with at least a separate waistband. I finished one hour and fifteen minutes prior to the end of the class. I would have finished earlier if an overlocker had been made available. Used a stich (similar to an overlocker) which gave a good finish on the sewing machine but this was not as quick to use. However I was the only attendee and have been sewing for 18 months. A good class if you have none or little experience of sewing.  A cloth copy of the two piece pattern used to make the Pajama bottoms  was given to me as I asked but I was told that normally this doesn’t happen.

Join our weekly Craft club to enjoy a variety of our workshops, each with their specialist tutor, with a bit more emphasis on experimenting and playing!
We aim to get a great social atmosphere with the enjoyment of regular crafting together and you get all our fantastic teaching at a discounted price!
Classes will vary week to week and may run over 2 sessions where you need a bit of extra time !
We have had sessions in Encaustic Art, Polymer clay,  Jewellery making, Alcohol inks, Paper crafts and more! 
Upcoming we have Quilling , Resin jewellery,  Lino print, Marbling and many more crafts to come!
You can book a bundle of 5 classes at a reduced price and book in to join the weeks that suit you- the bundle is valid for a year!

She advised me to get a magnifying glass to help with my own one, as when I looked at it I put it straight back in bag.

New to mosaics, then this is the Workshop for you.
In this half day workshop you will learn how to cut, stick and grout mosaic tiles and leave for home with your own handmade mosaic.
You can choose from a variety of shapes to mosaic including  squares, stars, birds, animals, hearts, circles and decorate them with beautiful glass, mirror and china. 

 Led by Tina from Swallow Mosaics, the workshop is completely hands-on with help and demonstrations through-out.

​All materials, equipment and instructions will be provided, just bring along your creativity.

Half Day Mosaic Workshop

Tiffany was fantastic, we had no previous mosaic experience, she made it easy and fun. We were delighted with our tiles.  Everything was supplied, the room is nice and bright. A great afternoon.

I loved the mosaic class. Tiffany was an informative and enthusiastic instructor and I loved learning a new technique. I went home feeling very proud of my creation!😊

What a fantastic experience cannot rate this highly enough.Went with my partner to a lovely studio where we met a great group of people and under the expert tuition of Tiffany we all came away with a beautiful mosaic piece x Tea coffee and biscuits flowed throughout and the choice of pieces to make was great

How to mosaic. The teacher was well informed & there were lots of good resources. It might have helped to have an advance email about what we were doing so I could prepare a design - we completed a lot but time was tight. The venue was nice but could have been more spacious

I had always wanted to do mosaic and this was  a brilliant introduction and very empowering. Everything was provided without restriction (I was also encouraged to take some tiles, etc home so I could finish) and venue good.
Tiffany was a great tutor, very helpful and encouraging.

What a great way to get an introduction to a potential new hobby.  Tiffany was very clear and helpful with the instructions in a fun and safe atmosphere. If you are looking to pick up a new hobby this is the place to start I for one am hooked on mosaics. Loved it!!!
